TOO LONG, TOO THIN
This feature poses many problems for a natural interpretation of a feature on the surface of the Moon. The two above clips are the same except for the obvious addition of lines in the left clip. These lines are intended as an aid to locating the specific features under discussion.
The red line indicates what appears to be a central groove running along the "trunk". The blue lines indicate the "branches" of the tree. These protrusions extend outward from the trunk. Some of them extend skyward, casting shadows. The green lines indicate some of the long, very thin linear features which are prominent in this area of the debris field. The yellow lines indicate portions of what appear to be two circular features.
From the top of the most complete circle
seems to radiate many of the long, thin features. One of these features (inside
the circle, indicated in green), resembles an inverted trident. Two, or maybe
all, of the "tines" of the "trident" seem attached to branches of the
Tree.
